Too Good to be True?
Many wonder if our numbers for
"Affordable Jet Ownership" can actually be achieved. Understandable,
since before now, the cost of traveling by private jet was very
expensive. Today, however, there are a few new developments:

Here again the math is simple: The cost of ongoing
ownership for an Eclipse 500 aircraft is less than $20,000 per
month to cover insurance, taxes, pilot salaries, hangars,
administration, etc. Divide this number by 8 and you arrive at
the monthly cost of under $2,000 for the 1/8 ownership interest;
substantially lower than the $12,000 – 14,000 charged by
traditional fractional programs for their 1/8 shares. And with JetAlliance, the Fixed Monthly Cost is further reduced by
charter revenues which accrue to the benefit of Owners.
The Hourly Rate reflects the same premise: The cost to operate
an Eclipse is $827 per hour. This covers fuel, and
reserves for airframe maintenance and engine overhauls. The
